Art and Writing

Joolz was a creative artist. She drew, painted, sculpted, wrote, doodled and used whatever came to hand, from clay to computer graphics to express herself, and in her work as an art therapist, to allow other to express themselves too.

Here is just a small collection of her art and writing, which I hope to add to as time goes by.

In late 2004 Joolz began to paint and draw 'circles', a self reflection practice she kept up to the last month of her life. An account of the origin comes from her workmate, Carry. Here are some of Joolz's circles.

Side kick and Television are two pieces that Joolz wrote for a collection of school assembly stories for 11-14 year olds, many thanks to Alison for finding these.

Joolz wrote many short pieces about her day to day sessions with her clients, here are just a few, the images were on the original documents too:

The Smile

The Ladder to the sky

Sticky Invisibility Tape

Hyperactive

The Fluffy Bunny
